I was very impressed with the first four fifths of the movie.

A little bit of steam was lost after the transition from Freddie on the motorcycle to Freddie visiting Doris’s mother.

I didn’t feel the movie was over from that point forward, but the complexity lifted at that point to some degree.

The penultimate scene worked really well.

Oddly, I’ve now forgotten the final scene twice.

The movie is practically Joaquin Phoenix’s face.
